"...and when they were fully awake, they saw His glory..."
Luke 9:32
The servants of God who shine are the ones who are fully awake. Peter, James, and John were "heavy with sleep" and missed the glory of Christ's face and robe glistening white. Luke may have seen it, he wrote about it as if he had. The revelation that was given to him must have been overwhelming and even the writing may not portray the scene as it happened. But when the brothers woke up, it was then that they saw His glory. What glory was there was Christ revealed over and above the flesh of his own body and the elements of the atmosphere. Christ is the Beloved son of God. And this glory is now revealed in the His body, the fellowship, when we are beaten down with tribulation. In order to experience the joy of Christ's glory, glistening and white, we will be shaken and battered in trials. We are awakened out of our ignorant slumber to behold His glory. Jesus is a tree of life. He is life itself. Jesus is truth. He is the radiance of the face of God, who we bless and behold.
